Disciples Mission Fund

Disciple Mission Fund is major source of financial support for the General Church and for the Regional Ministry. Congregations and individuals are encouraged to support this fund through direct gifts and/or by a percentage of the congregation’s budget. Gifts to the fund are distributed to General Church and to the Regional Church. Currently 40.6% of gifts from congregations in the region form the bulk of funds available for Regional Missions. The remaining 59.4% support the ministries of the General Church.

Disciple Mission Fund also encourages congregations and individuals to make gifts to Special Day Offerings that are designated for specific ministries of the church.

Special Offerings

Easter Day
The Easter Special Day Offering receives gifts shared by the General Ministries of the Church.

Pentecost Day
The Pentecost Special Day Offering receives gifts that support New Church Ministries of the General Church (50%), and New Church Ministries in the Region (50%).

Thanksgiving Day
The Thanksgiving Special Day Offering receives gifts for Disciple related institutions of higher education (colleges and seminaries) for the support of programs that develop future leaders of the church. (Disciple related Higher education institutions within the Region of Mid-America are Columbia College, Culver-Stockton College, Drury University and William Woods College).

Christmas Day
The Christmas Special Day Offering receives gifts for the Mid-America Regional Ministries.
