Disciple Women

Disciples Women is made up of women of all ages from across our region. Our primary goals are spiritual enrichment, including Bible study, fellowship and mission. Many churches have one or more womens groups

There are womens retreats each year in the region, area and at local churches. Many women participate in mission trips, or in quilt- or apple pie making. These are opportunities to share experiences, laughter, and learning with other women.

Some of us use materials from the Christian Board of Publication, the New Day magazine, but some use other materials for study.

A Disciples Women group can be a support network for you as a young mother, or it can be women youve known most of your life. We have started a chat room on Yahoo!.com for ongoing conversations and questions.

We participate in sending women to other countries for mission trips, or to learn about womens lives. Disciples Women celebrate diversity in viewpoints and faith convictions. Many women are involved in ecumenical or inter-faith conversations.

We contribute financially to Gods work from our towns to places all around the world. In recent years, we have contributed to the Heifer Project, Church World Service, and Global Ministries, helping build water wells in Kenya. Many groups are very active in the Festival of Sharing each October.
