Grants

Significant parts of the work of the Commission on Mission and Unity relate to the promotion and oversight of the Reconciliation Offering and Fund. Dollars raised for the Reconciliation Mission provide support for the General Church Reconciliation Ministry (50% of the funds received) and for Reconciliation Grants for ministries within the Region (50% of the funds received).

The commission solicits project requests and prepares a recommended budget to the Council of Areas.A priority is given to projects which address the root causes of racism.
