2009 CRY OfficersAudra Viele, President Leslie Barnes, Vice-President Missy Clack, Secretary Note the remaining Cabinet meetings date: April 17-18 and June 5-6. Cabinet meetings will be held at First Christian Church in Jefferson City.
Many who attended CRY 2008 know that God was present and that understanding is represented in the various posts online that are popping up. Some are powerful like this comment on Facebook from adult sponsor Andrew Blick who said, I spoke with our minister at Billings Christian Church. She wanted to know how everyone was doing, I told her, everyone was great, but we weren't bringing back the same young people we took to CRY. Each of them have changed. How often do you find a 15 year old boy, passing up the opportunity to play video games, to sleep, to watch movies, to instead sit and read the Bible? We've all been changed. We're all different, but we're all the same, and we're all saved by God's grace. The theme for CRY was Imagine and throughout the week youth and adults from all over the Mid-America Region did just that with the help of keynote speaker Dr. Kris Tenney-Brittian and the CRY Cabinet which took the leadership of this Regional youth led event. Through the concept of CPR, Dr. Kris Tenney-Brittian challenged participants to Conceive, Perceive and Receive Gods presence in our lives not just at CRY but beyond. The week included worship, small group discussion of the keynote, singing and workshops that challenged those participating to explore their faith and push themselves a little further in their relationship with God. | Eligiblity: Teens who have completed the 8th grade through senior year of high school.
