CRY Festival 2007 was held at Columbia College July 16-19. Keynote speakers were Zane Whorton and Nathan Brooks.

Youth from the Mid-America Region joined together to learn about their "Disciple Spirit" in the annual youth event. Lessons included: what is a Disciple?; why evangelism is not a dirty word; connecting serving with our faith; and an exploration of prayer. Rev. Barb Jones, Regional Minister from the Great River Region, was invited to share stories of how Hurricanes Rita and Katrina impacted their Region and how the churches worked together to assist others in the local communities.

The event also included worship, singing, a dance, shavng cream wars and a serenade. An offering collected at the end of the week was given to the Mid-America Pro-Reconciliation/Anti-Racism Team and to the Homeless Youth Task Force in Columbia. The week ended with the tradition of bidding farewell to the seniors and singing the "Circle" song together, with a good cry as all said goodbye to new friends until next year.

Eligiblity: Teens who have completed the 8th grade through senior year of high school.
