A professional communications coordinator and a team of volunteers and regional staff are working together to monitor site activity, update information, and respond to requests and questions.

How can our congregation get a web page?

Any congregation may request a page on this website that will contain the following information:

  • Name of your congregation

  • Address

  • Contact information

    • Name of initial contact person and their role (Secretary/Pastor/Moderator etc.)

    • Phone

    • Email

    • Website (if available and up to date)

  • Times for worship

  • Photo of an outside activity on the church campus (limit to 500 kb, jpg, gif, png)

How do I submit information to be shared throughout the region?

Here's what we need:

· preferred means of distribution (quarterly Messenger newsletter, bi-monthly email Update, post on the website, immediate direct email)

· 100 word lead story in editable format such as Word, Publisher, or in body of email

· link to more information if applicable - this could include registration forms for events

· photos/graphics if available, .jpg or .png format preferred

· contact information in case we have any questions

Submissions should be made to ccmacomm@yahoo.com. We will strive to include as much submitted material as possible but may need to edit or omit in some cases. Submitted information may be forwarded to the appropriate General Church office(s) for wider publication.

What do Disciples believe?

We are called to study and read scripture for ourselves. Rather than having tests of faith and creedal statements, we critically and thoughtfully study scripture, taking into account the history and background – the context – in which it was written. How do regions work within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)?

We are organized into geographic regions, each having its own structure and leadership. Mid-America is one of only two regions further organized into separate [areas] with their own Area Ministers who together serve as our Mid-America Ministry Team.
