Our theme, “Work It! Stewarding Legacy, Nurturing Leadership” is grounded in Nehemiah 2:17–20, where Nehemiah calls the people to rebuild Jerusalem’s broken walls and restore their community.
Join us as we remember, celebrate, understand, and preserve the rich legacy of African American churches and their historic role in transforming local communities through leadership, sacred spaces, ministries, community engagement, activism, and more. Together, we will explore how to honor that legacy, nurture the next generation of leaders, and discern new ways to make a meaningful impact in our communities today.
