The Disciples Women’s Fellowship of Community Christian Church is hosting the annual Harvest Lunch and Fair Trade Bazaar on Saturday, November 7. The annual event supports twenty local and global mission projects and makes an excellent day trip to the Lake of the Ozarks!
Lunch from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. ($8 for adults and $5 for children) includes homemade soup, salad buffet, dessert, and beverage
The Fair Trade Bazaar, open from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., is a colorful International Market provided by World Craft and Thrift in Versailles, a Ten Thousand Villages vendor supporting the Mennonite Central Committee’s effort to relieve world hunger. World Craft and Thrift volunteers bring products, enthusiasm and information to the Bazaar. Visitors learn how their purchasing choices affect the lives of producers, especially women and children. Every Fair Trade purchase is a positive response to distressing issues such as poverty, hunger and human trafficking.
Among the unique and attractive handcrafted products from around the world, shoppers find jewelry, toys, Christmas ornaments, market baskets and home décor. Equal Exchange coffee, tea, and chocolate support justice and are thoughtful gifts.
Shop Fair Trade first!
