This book explores some of the roles that St. Louis-area clergy and congregations played in the aftermath of the death of Michael Brown. Through interviews with local faith leaders (including Rev. Dr. Dietra Wise Baker of Liberation CC and Rev. Dr. Jacquelyn Foster of Compton Heights CC) who have worked with young community activists in response to the shooting, Dr. Gunning Francis describes the way congregations mobilized and “woke up” during this time.
A book signing is being hosted by Left Bank Books on August 4 at 7:00 pm and everyone is invited to attend! (399 N. Euclid, St. Louis, MO 63108)
