9th Annual Fair Trade Bazaar & Harvest Lunch

  • Community Christian Church - Camdenton 1064 North Business Route 5 Camdenton, MO (map)

The Lake Community is invited to enjoy an expanded international shopping experience (9 am to 2 pm) and a delicious harvest lunch (11 am to 1 pm) on Friday, Nov. 3.  SHOPPING will continue again on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 am until noon.  FAIR TRADE items being offered for sale are made by WOMEN in 3rd world countries struggling to make a better life for themselves and their children by breaking cycles of poverty and exploitation; providing along the way fewer opportunities for Human Trafficking.  Fair Trade labeling is similar to the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” in that standards have been implemented regarding working conditions, wages, child labor, and the environment in the developing countries these products represent.  The Fair Trade label carries a message to us as consumers that we are purchasing products that are produced in a socially just way.

Lake area shoppers will appreciate the international market experience this Fair Trade Bazaar brings to our community.  Just in time for Christmas Shopping, these beautiful, unusual products include house wares, baskets, toys, cards, clothing, scarves, musical instruments, jewelry, candy, coffees and much more.

The HARVEST LUNCH which includes homemade soups, salad buffet, dessert and beverage is only $8 for adults and $5 for children.  Call ahead for carry-out lunches at 573-346-5546.

The event is hosted by the women of Community Christian Church in the Family Life Center at 1064 North Business Route 5 in Camdenton.  All proceeds go to support 20 local and global mission projects. See event flyer.
